Arrival

So I am here. This is a picture of customs. Thats not me in the picture. But I do have that same head dress. Enough about head dresses! Let me tell you about my plane ride. First off it was 12 hours long. I sat next to a middle aged missionary women who would rather tell me about her relationship with Christ than anything else. I also observed plenty of Jordanian who apparently hate sleeves. They were wearing vests exposing their masculine Jordanian arms. They also like to pro create, judging by the 15 sets of kids on the flight. Another interesting thing happened which I only thought occurred in movies. The flight attendent came over the loud speaker and said there was a "medical emergency" and they needed doctors or nurses to report to the back of plane. Of course I got up and went to the back of the plane, not because I was qualified but of course to see what this medical emergency was. I was turned away told to "go back to your seat." Upon arrival in Jordan I bought my visa and went to baggage claim. My buddy had his "driver" pick me up. By driver I mean a dude who kept saying "USA" to me. My only response was to yell "USA" back at him and also give the American signature "thumbs up." Later that night we went to a couple Jordanian night clubs. It was filled with drinking and listening to DJ's spin what sounded like the entire Slumdog Millionaire Soundtrack. After dancing awkwardly we went home and currently are eating popcorn. Ill write more tomorrow when we explore the city. Until then..- Dan

  1. In addition to the quad camel, please come back with masculine Jordanian arms and several sets of children.
    Thumbs up!
